Conveyor Wear Strips
Specify replacement sliding surfaces for your conveyor around the section, mounting and working conditions. Source plastic wear strips, PE profile strips and custom UHMWPE blanks with dimensions and installation details agreed before production.

Section, holes, length, material and application
| Required information | What to provide | What is confirmed before order |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-section | Width W × thickness T, or a complete profile drawing | Section dimensions, fit and critical tolerances |
| Mounting holes | Hole type, diameter, pitch, end distance and datum | Approved hole pattern, recess depth and fastener clearance |
| Length | Finished length L, number of pieces and joint arrangement | Supply format, cut-length tolerance and packing |
| Material | UHMWPE, PE profile or requested grade; color and documents | Exact polymer grade and profile availability |
| Application | Chain/belt/product contact, load, speed, temperature and cleaning media | Material and manufacturing route for review |
Match the cross-section to your conveyor.
Flat Wear Strips
Specify W × T × L in mm, edge treatment and the working face. Identify whether the part supports a chain, belt or moving component.
Critical width, thickness and flatness requirements must be marked on the drawing.
Request Flat Strip Pricing →Profile / Clip-On Strips
Specify the profile code or drawing, overall width and height, slot opening and supporting rail dimensions.
Match the retaining section to the actual support; an external size alone does not define the fit.
Request Profile Matching →Machined Replacement Strips
Send the current drawing or a dimensioned sample reference for grooves, shoulders, recesses and end features.
A worn sample may not represent the original design dimensions; identify the required running fit.

Flat strip: [W] × [T] × [L] mm / [material grade] / [quantity].
Profile strip: [profile code or drawing revision] / [support section] / [cut length or roll format] / [quantity].
Define the hole pattern before machining.
| Feature | Required drawing information | Installation check |
|---|---|---|
| Through holes | Diameter d, quantity and coordinates from an agreed datum | Match the machine interface and fastener size |
| Hole pitch & end distances | Pitch P, first/last hole end distances and tolerance | Define each pattern rather than assuming equal spacing |
| Countersunk / counterbored holes | Head diameter, recess depth or countersink angle | Keep heads clear of the sliding face and allow usable wear thickness |
| Slots | Slot width, overall length, direction and location | Review retention and thermal movement; slots require design approval |
| No holes / clip-on mounting | Matching support profile and retaining geometry | Confirm fit, retention and end restraint |
Hole positions, support spacing and expansion allowance depend on geometry, material, temperature and load. Confirm whether fasteners, brackets or supporting rails are included in the offer.
Cut pieces and roll profiles are different orders.
Cut-to-Length Wear Strips
Specify the finished length of every part, quantity, ends, joints and machining. Stock availability and practical shipping lengths are confirmed for the selected section and grade.
Do not assume a straight machined strip can be coiled or bent to the same radius as a flexible profile.
Existing PE Profile Series
Our existing Conveyor Line Wear Strip page lists PE profile strips in white and green, with a 50 m roll format. Confirm the selected profile and current availability before ordering.
This roll specification does not establish the supply length or polymer grade of custom UHMW wear strips.
View Existing PE Wear Strip Range →Send the complete layout, joints, direction of travel and operating temperature. End treatment and thermal clearances must be agreed for the assembly.
UHMW wear strips and other plastic options
UHMWPE
Evaluate UHMWPE for machined sliding and wear-contact strips using the actual load, speed, temperature and mating surface.
Specify the material grade, color and dimensions. Do not infer grade from color.
View Material Range →PE Profile Strips
The existing roll-profile product is described as PE. Confirm the exact polymer grade rather than automatically treating PE as UHMWPE.
Profile fit, retention and bend geometry require review.
Application-Specific Alternatives
If temperature, stiffness, chemical exposure or electrical requirements dominate, request a material comparison.
Special grades and compliance documents are confirmed separately for the proposed order.
Conveyor wear strip applications
Chain Sliding Support
Replaceable contact surfaces along a chain path. Provide chain designation, support contact, load, speed and lubrication conditions.
Related Chain Guide Rails →Belt Support & Return Paths
Review strips against the belt design, width, contact pattern, support layout and permitted frictional heating.
Follow the belt manufacturer's support and lubrication requirements.
Product & Machine Contact
Guiding or sliding surfaces for packages and moving assemblies. Specify the contact material, finish, cleaning conditions and acceptable marking.
Food-contact use requires documentation for the exact grade supplied.
Wear life depends on load, speed, contamination, temperature, lubrication and the mating surface. Low friction alone is not a guarantee of wear life or energy savings.
Approve the details before production.
Section
Confirm W × T or profile drawing.
Mounting
Agree holes, support and fastener clearance.
Material
Review grade against the application.
Length
Confirm cut list, joints and quantity.
Supply
Agree MOQ, sample, lead time, inspection and packing.
Conveyor Wear Strips FAQ
What dimensions do you need for a wear strip quotation?
Provide width, thickness and length for a flat strip, or a dimensioned cross-section for a profile. Add holes, tolerances, grade and quantity.
Can the strips be supplied with mounting holes?
Drawing-based drilling and machining can be reviewed. Include hole diameter, pitch, end distances, recess dimensions and mounting details.
Are PE wear strips always UHMWPE?
No. PE is a broader material designation. Request the exact grade and supporting documents if UHMWPE is required.
Is 50 m the standard length for all wear strips?
No. The existing PE profile series lists a 50 m roll format. Custom machined strips and other materials require separate length confirmation.
Can I copy dimensions from a worn strip?
A sample can support review, but worn faces and deformed mounting points may not show the original geometry. Confirm functional dimensions and the machine interface.
Are the strips supplied with food-contact certification?
State the regulation and conditions of use before quotation. Documents and suitability must be confirmed for the exact grade and color.
Send your section and mounting details.
Include cross-section dimensions, installation holes, length, material and application. Add quantity, service conditions, drawing revision and destination.
