Bottle Gripper

Bottle gripper is a pneumatic gripping part for bottle handling machines. It uses air pressure to clamp and release bottles for transferring on blow molding, filling and labeling lines.

Its main body is constructed from nylon, fitted with a polyurethane air bladder and 304 stainless steel springs. When inflated, the flexible bladder expands to firmly grip bottle necks; when air is released, it contracts to release bottles.

Description

The bottle gripper (also known as bottle gripper head) is a pneumatic end effector widely used in bottle handling automated machinery.
Its main body is constructed from nylon, fitted with a polyurethane air bladder and 304 stainless steel springs. When inflated, the flexible bladder expands to firmly grip bottle necks; when air is released, it contracts to release bottles.

Ordering Notes

1.How to customize a gripper for new bottles

You need to provide three pieces of information:
The outer diameter of the cap, the outer diameter of the bottle body, and a photo of the bottle.

2.How to find the matching gripper model

A: Measure gripper inner diameter
B: Measure gripper outer diameter
C: Measure mounting diameter
D: Measure pneumatic connection
E: Measure effective height (height below steel plate)
F: Clear bottom photo

3.How to order a replacement air bladder

Measure outer diameter / Measure inner diameter / Measure overall height / Measure small hole inner diameter / Provide actual product photo

The internal air bladder of the gripper head is a consumable part; under normal conditions, it has a lifespan of over 200,000 gripping cycles. Its service life depends heavily on the cap material and the operating air pressure. A pressure of 3–5 kg is recommended for standard use, while modified gripper heads require 4–6 kg. Pressures exceeding 6 kg may cause occasional ruptures, and the limit of 7 kg will lead to frequent failures.

FAQ

Q1: What information do I need to confirm the right gripper model?
A: Please provide the cap outer diameter, bottle body outer diameter and photos of your bottle. You also need to measure gripper inner diameter, outer diameter, mounting diameter, effective height and pneumatic connection size.
Q2: Can you customize bottle grippers?
A: Yes. We support custom sizes including inner diameter, outer diameter, height and air port type according to your bottle requirements.
Q3: What types of bottles work with this pneumatic gripper?
A: Suitable for PET plastic bottles, glass bottles and round cans used on blow molding, filling and labeling machines.
Q4: What material is the air bladder made of?
A: The air bladder adopts wear-resistant rubber with good elasticity and long service life.
Q5: Can I order samples for machine testing?
A: Yes, samples are available for testing. The sample shipping cost is borne by the buyer.
Q6: How long is the lead time?
A: Standard stock items ship within 3–7 working days. Customized grippers take 10–15 working days.
Q7: What if the gripper cannot hold the bottle firmly?
A: First check the air pressure. Then verify if the gripper inner diameter matches your bottle neck. Feel free to contact our technical team for support.
