Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene rod refers to polyethylene with an average molecular
weight of over 1.5 million. According to the molecular weight, it can generally be divided into three
levels: 3 million molecular weight, 5 million molecular weight, and 9.2 million molecular weight.
Characteristics:
The UPE rod has good wear resistance,good low-temperature impact resistance,self-lubrication,non-toxicity, water resistance, chemical resistance. Its heat resistance is better than that of general PE,and its mechanical properties are higher than those of general high-density polyethylene. It has outstanding impact resistance, stress crack resistance,high-temperature creep resistance, low friction coefficient,excellent self-lubrication,excellent chemical corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, noise damping, nuclear radiation resistance, etc.In particular, its wear resistance ranks first among plastics,4 times higher than nylon 66 and polytetrafluoroethylene, and its impact strength is extremely high, 5 times that of ABS; and it can maintain high toughness at liquid nitrogen temperature (-196°c).
